Jenniffer Julich

Jenniffer Julich has been finding the characters lurking in the minds eye of independent authors for over 5 years now. One of the most important parts of the illustration process is the visual discovery of the characters personalities. They are born out of sketch investigation and color development.

In Walter’s Pond, Jnnffr (her pen name) began with sketches full of comedy and boyhood charm. She refined these sketches to give more depth to the imagery while adding color elements for the main characters. Along with the illustrations, the highlighted phrasing and unconventional vertical page layout, pairing the text and visuals, lends a unique flavor to the book.

Jnnffr is a graduate of the classical and computer animation program at Sheridan College in Ontario, Canada. She lives with her husband and two teenage children in the garden city of St. Catharines, Ontario. Her passion is visual storytelling and client collaboration. Her production experience in film, television, illustration and educational mural art lends itself naturally to independent book publishers.
